Rede Brasil seeks partnerships to disseminate UN goals

The Brazil Network of Global Compact The Brazil Network of (ODS). The Federations of Industries of the States of São Paulo and Paraná — FIESP and FIEP — and the National Association of Private Universities (ANUP) have already joined the initiative to act together in 2019, in order to engage its members with the UN agenda.

Rede Brasil and ANUP will mobilize faculties that are part of the organization. educational institutions, extension and research will involve their students in a communication project to promote the SDGs.. The cooperation provides for the awareness of up to 3 millions of students through a video class, which will relate the global objectives to the issue of employability.

The federations of São Paulo and Paraná will promote workshops on the goals of the United Nations and on the Global Compact for companies that are part of the two organizations. The Brazil Network of SDG Compass methodology, a guide formulated by the Pact to help companies align their businesses with the SDGs. The strategy also helps corporations measure their contributions to this agenda.

Rede Brasil seeks to count on other Brazilian institutions in this new work front. Brazil Network: Engagement and shared value

Last month the United Nations Department of Public Information invited universities and other institutions involved in higher education and knowledge production in Brazil to join the Academic Impact initiative (AN Academic Impact, UNAI). The Brazil Network of, research and solutions based on inter and multidisciplinary issues that dialogue with UN values, as represented in the UNAI principles, and that can help in the SDGs.

Participation in the initiative is also open to research institutions and think tanks that carry out scientific and political research and whose work is published in specialized journals or other forums reviewed by experts.
